Wolfburn 9 Year Cask #430 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This is from the 430th cask that they produced in 2015. After distillation in May 2015, it was aged for nine years in an ex-Bourbon barrel before being bottled at the distillery in May 2024 at its full cask strength: 56.9% ABV.

The nose opens with a light bit of earth, some stone fruits: specifically apricots and nectarines, vanilla, honey, toasted almonds, and a light flint. The palate has a great balance to it with stone fruits, toasted grains and nuts, a gentle earth, cigar box, and light pepper notes to finish.
