Tissot Cremant du Jura Rose Extra Brut NV
Jura is one of those places that has become such a region of great interest to food focused wine lovers, and this bottling is a great introduction to what makes these wines so intriguing. This is made up of the grape varietals Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir, done in the Champagne Method. The nose opens with aromas of citrus, cream, wild strawberries, blood orange, and a light minerality. On the palate this is moderate in weight with bitter orange, wild strawberry and just there cream. - D&M TASTING NOTES (MK, 09/2025)
IMPORTER NOTES:
ABOUT THE PRODUCER: "Domaine André et Mireille TISSOT was created in 1962. Since returning to the family domaine more than twenty years ago, Stéphane Tissot has converted all 32 hectares to bio-dynamic viticulture and dramatically reduced yields. Vinifying terroir by terroir, he makes Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of Burgundian quality with a distinctive mineral expression. He also honors the family traditions with brilliant versions of the semi-oxidized wines of the region. One of the world’s most restlessly innovative producers, he never ceases to come up with daring new ideas relating to viticulture, wine-making and hitherto unthought-of products. The acclaim with which he been met is truly deafening!"
