OVERVIEW: “Planteray Rum Barbados 5 years blends both pot and column still rums in the authentic Barbadian style from our own Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery, founded in 1893 by George Stade, a genius distiller with many patents under his name. After ageing for 3 years next to the beach, the Barbados casks travel by sea to France, experiencing “dynamic ageing” along the way. A second maturation in ex-Ferrand casks – the signature Planteray double-ageing technique – for a total of 5 years of ageing adds remarkable roundness and structure.”
