Michel Breton 2008 Domfrontais Calvados

This XO has been aged for over eight years in formerly used barrels, with an innovative program where in addition to ex-Cognac and ex-Bordeaux barrels they supplement this with ex-Sherry, ex-Sauternes, and ex-Banyuls barrels. The nose opens with aromas of golden apple, tarte tatin, nutmeg, golden raisin, apple blossoms, rancio and a light nutty note. On the palate the presence of the oak shows itself with light apple pie, mixed spices, and a delicate licorice note to finish. - D&M TASTING NOTES (08/2026)
