Folk Machine Grenache 2023

The remains a pretty lifted style of Grenache with aromas of bright bing cherry, raspberries, clay minerality, cola and cracked peppercorns. The palate is light and Pinot-esque with bing cherry, dusty raspberry, clay minerality and pepper to finish. - D&M TASTING NOTES

PRODUCER NOTES:

VINEYARDS: “In 2021, we found ourselves fortunate to secure Grenache from 4 amazing sites even though we really didn’t jave a plan for what to do. Just seemed like a good idea to say, “YES.” Though we are using some of each in other wines, a blend of all four was very easily balanced and delicious and so, we added a new wine to the Folk Machine line-up.”

TASTING: "The finished wine is true to Grenache, but more ethereal, almost more Pinot Noir like and for sure more readily drinkable than most of it’s European counterparts. Tannins and alcohol are kept far at bay. (420 cases produced)"
