Edith and Ida Mendocino Chardonnay 2024

Named after Kenny & Lynn's two daughters, and with Lynn driving the winemaking here, this may be our favorite vintage yet of this classic, Burgundian-syled Chardonnay. With native yeast fermentation and subtle oak influence. It offers citrus and stone fruit notes lifted by bright acidity which carries it through a long, satisfying and elegant finish.- D&M TASTING NOTES

PRODUCER NOTES:

VINEYARD: “Planted in 1944, this Chardonnay is one of the oldest plantings in the state. A member of the Historic Vineyard Society and CCOF certified the Lolonis Vineyard in Redwood Valley is a gem of a place.”

VINIFICATION: “In the cellar, the grapes are whole cluster pressed then cold settled for 5 days before the juice is moved to neutrals oak barrels to ferment naturally.  Allowed to complete both fementations it is filtered before bottling.”

TASTING: “The 2024 has bright notes of stone fruit, citrus peel, and green pear.  She's a beauty.”
