D&M NOTES (MK, FALL 2025):

TASTING: This is made up of the 2019 base vintage with 10% of the blend being still Rouge from Bouzy. After the Champagne process it was disgorged with the addition of 4 grams per liter of dosage. The nose opens with aromas of plums, spice, blood orange, and a light minerality. On the palate the core of Pinot Noir asserts itself with plum and blood orange in excellent contrast.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Alexandra is a fifth generation winemaker from the Grand Cru village of Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims. Her mother’s maiden name is Clouet, and her brother Jean-Francois is the current winemaker at Andre Clouet. Alexandra realized from an early age that she wanted to be involved in the family’s business and studied at the Avize Viti Campus in the late 1990s.  As her parents grew closer to retirement age, they encouraged her to set up her own operation within the umbrella of Andre Clouet. So after the 2012 harvest, five parcels in Bouzy were transferred to her totalling 1 hectare of land. Of these land holdings, roughly 80% are Pinot Noir with the rough 20% balance being Chardonnay, with an average vine age of 35 years.
