La Follette Los Primeros Pinot Noir 2023

WINERY NOTES: For our 2023 Los Primeros Pinot Noir we blended barrels from some of our top single vineyard wines to accent barrels from our local, long term growing partners. Layered into the blend are components from a handful of truly elite Sonoma Coast sites. Visually, this wine is Amaranth red. Our Pinot Noir showcases the elevated acidity levels in 2023 and bursts with high energy fruit. Cranberry, pomegranate and hibiscus are the signature aromatics while the palate is vibrant with tart cherry, rose petal, cinnamon and dried herbs.

FERMENTATION: Three days cold soak, manual punch downs 1-3 times per day

AGING: 10 months in small French oak barrels (12% new)

ABV: 13.5%
