Castell'in Villa Chianti Classico 2019

Castell'in Villa is in Castelnuovo Berardenga, at the south end of the Chianti Classico region. It is entirely Sangiovese, vinified using indigenous ferments in first Stainless steel then aged in large oval oak barrels for two years. This is an excellent example of the marvelous 2019 vintage with an aroma set of soft cherry, light minerality, mixed culinary herbs, and a just there note of oak. On the palate this has a gorgeous balance of dried cherry, baked earth and some tarragon.
