Castle & Key 6 Year Single Barrel Bourbon SBP

The whiskey is a light amber in color with a nose that opens with honeysuckle, nutmeg, golden apple, mint and the smell of a house just after a loaf of banana bread has been baked. On the first sip we noticed the earthiness of the whiskey, probably from that white corn, along with pear, dried apricots, graham cracker, caramel, and kettle corn, it’s like a festival of carnival snacks in a glass. It finishes incredibly dry and smooth with some flavors of pink peppercorn coming out and just a bit of tannins and leather lingering on the palate. This is a delicious sipping whiskey indeed and can easily be enjoyed neat, or with a bit of ice or water if you prefer, and at this price point, you might want to grab two. - D&M TASTING NOTES (08/2026)
