Salvatore Marino Turi Bianco 2023
This skin contact white falls on the cleaner end of the “orange” wine segment with a clear orange/gold color and aromas of dried stone fruit (apricot), citrus (tangerine) and a slight tropical note (mango) that translate to the lively, balanced and well-textured palate. - D&M TASTING NOTES
IMPORTER NOTES:
VARIETAL: 100% Cataratto
SOIL COMPOSITION: Clay, Limestone
FARMING: Organic (not certified)
FINING/FILTRATION: Unfined/Unfiltered
LABEL: “The inspiration for the labels comes from Futurism, an Italian literary, artistic and musical movement of the beginning of the 20th century. The bianco label depicts the muscular red arm of a worker (worker in the vineyard), which raises a simple (tavern) glass of wine, the same one where our grandparents drank (none of them ever had wine glasses).”
WINEMAKING: “The grapes are destemmed, macerated for five days then ferment with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is decanted and racked off its gross lees. It then ages in concrete until its bottled the spring following harvest.”
