Division L'Orange 2025
WINERY NOTES:
OVERVIEW: ““L’Orange” is one of our most complex wines to make but one of the easiest to enjoy. The goal is to capture unique colors, textures, and aromatics deliciously. We layer multiple white grape varieties and macerations (hence. the “skin contact”) to harmoniously land on a truly special wine for the category to enjoy this summer and all year long!”
TASTING: “Gorgeous pumpkin-hued elixir. Aromatic and textured, this presents notes of peach and thyme, with a touch of eucalyptus in the wine, connecting it to artist Camille Shu's ‘Eucs’.”
COMPOSITION: “A mix of white grapes that can include Pinot Gris, Riesling, Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Aligoté.”
VINIFICATION: “Roussanne and Riesling spend 30 days on skins and then the additional white grapes (whose skin times range from 1 to 21 days) are layered in. Each ferment is aged separately in old barrels and stainless steel for about eight months. Bottled with minimal SO2.”
