Dating back to the 19th century, rock and rye has been used as a refreshment as well as "medicine" to treat coughs and colds. Hochstadter's Slow and Low Rock & Rye is made in Philadelphia " the birthplace of Rock & Rye " with a base of straight rye whiskey.
